We are so blessed to have two wonderful sets of grandparents who dote on our children. We also have an "adopted" set of grandparents who are willing to fill the gap felt by living so far away from our family in Kansas.
Last week Sue and Al Doering offered to take our oldest two children to the MN State Fair all day. We've never been to the MN State Fair but we've heard fantastic things about it and our kids love to spend time with the Doerings. I'm so thankful for this couple who are living out Christ's love for us in real life! We attend such a fantastic church filled with people who love each other.
Al and Sue Doering with K-man and K-girl before they boarded the charter bus to travel to the State Fair.
Of course they had to start off the day with a nutritious breakfast! mmmmm....donuts.

Boarding the bus to head to the fair. I'm thinking they were pretty excited!
K-girl doing to reading along the way.
Al and Sue took lots of pictures of the kids throughout the day so they could show us how much fun they had. K-girl's first stop had to be the horse barn!

K-girl looking at the horses. She was excited that one of the ladies even let her go in the pen and pet her horse.
Lunch?? Ice cream!
I think they had cotton candy too, but I didn't see a picture of that.
Quilts! The kids were getting ideas for what they wanted to make for our county fair next year.
Watching the parade.
Exploring the booths. They came home with bags of goodies to show us.
A crazy guy.
I'm sure my kids will be talking about this for a long time to come. Thank you Al and Sue for taking your time to reach out to our little family!
