Veggies Galore!

The warm weather is definitely helping the vegetables at Bluebird Gardens to grow. This afternoon we decided to make a quick trip out to the gardens and pick some produce.

The kids helped us pick 10 dozen ears of corn, a 5 gallon bucket each of cauliflower and broccoli and one small ice cream bucket of carrots along with some flowers for our table.

The kids got most of the corn shucked before dinner.

mmm....I love dinner in the summertime and the tomato is from our garden.

I know what I'll be doing all weekend.

  1. Kelton's pretty good at shucking corn too. After the last time he said, I dare you to find a silk on that! Haha! If we were closer, I'd have loaned him out for free! :-)
