Skating Fun!

We love visiting the Cleveland rink that is only a few blocks from our house. The kids had fun skating around the rink and then we spent some time sledding down the hill right next to the rink.

I'm finally posting a picture of our new carpet. I think the kids had more fun with the empty rooms! I love my new carpet and it is perfect for our family of four kids.

I finished my first toothbrush rug this week. Thanks mom for the pattern and scraps. I love how it turned out!

Dance Marathon

We're jumping right back into our crazy schedule. This past week, besides school and work we also babysat, had dance 3 different nights and are working on removing all the carpet from our upstairs. I can't believe how much stuff we have acquired and had to move in order to get the old carpet out.

The girls all enjoy dance class and they did a fantastic job after taking a month off of dance. They only had two practices before their winter recital. Whew! It was a whirlwind week and I'm sure glad that dance in usually only one night a week.
Each girl did two dances and then the older two girls also performed in the finale, but they were in the back row for their other dances and hard to see from where we were sitting so these were the best videos I have. We may have to actually buy a video camera some day because our regular camera kept going in and out of focus. Oh well!

Kaylee's dance I Want Crazy
(she's in the middle of the row at the start of the dance)
Karolyn's Dance, I Really Don't Care. She is in the back, left row.
Enjoy Nanas!

Picture Crazy at the Papon Farm

I love Christmas time and the chance we have to celebrate Christ's birth. It always seems like we just put up our tree and then we head south to visit family. This year we took our Jesse Tree quilt and Jotham's Journey book with us and shared our Christmas traditions with my family. We packed in a few months worth of fun into only three weeks of time. We are so thankful that Shawn's job and homeschooling allows us to spend some much time with our extended family since we live so far away! It may take us a few weeks to detox from all the spoiling we received.

Yep, more Cheyenne this cowgirl loves her horse!

Kaylee and Kolsen worked hard all week helping Papa recycle some old motors and made some serious cash.

She even got to canter on this visit. She's becoming more confident in her riding on each visit.

The kids all had fun playing with the other three K Papons!

Football in the side yard was a hit with these two boys!

Kaylee spent quite a bit of time on Cheyenne this visit!

Thanks Bruce and Yvette for putting up with our whole family for more than a week! We are so thankful for you guys and can't wait for you to visit us up north soon!
