Gymnastics 2015

I'm so thankful for the moms who serve on our local gymnastics board and the wonderful coaches who spend so much time loving on my girls. They have so much fun and love learning new things.

New Camera

Shawn bought me a new camera for Christmas this year. I love taking photos of the kids and I'm enjoying my new camera. Usually I wait to take our newest family pictures when we get to my in-law's house, so I can use my mother-in-law's nice camera. This year we still waited until we arrived at  my in-law's house, but I got to take pictures with my own camera. These are my favorite ones! Hopefully with more practice I'll get better.

Nana did a great job taking some family photos for us!

I love these four kiddos!

December Birthdays

December is always busy at our house with 3 December birthdays!

Kaylee turned 9 and had a gingerbread house decorating party with friends.

Shawn turned 39 and celebrated by using his hunting, birthday gifts and got seven ducks this week while on vacation.

Kassidy turned 7 and celebrated with all the "K" cousins at Nana's house.

Snowflake Invite

This is the video we captured from Karolyn's first officially scored meet. She did an amazing job and we are so proud of her. I think she enjoyed it and ended up winner her bronze division for her age group.

Our Favorite Art Teacher

When Nana Yvette visits, we usually manage to get in a few art classes. She does such a great job sharing her passion and knowledge with the kids. Thanks for sharing Nana!

Gymnastics Girls

The girls had their first gymnastics meet this past week. It was really just a practice meet, so they could get the feel of what future meets will feel like. They LOVED it! My friend Erin is one of the coaches and she does an amazing job!

This is a video with all the girls events. It was hard to keep up with three girls who were all performing on different teams, at the same time. Luckily, we had two cameras for most of the meet so we managed to catch everyone's events.

More Running

I finally downloaded a bunch of pictures off of our camera and realized that I never posted these pictures from the cross country season. The first two are from the Milaca Mega Meet. It was HUGE! I couldn't believe how many athletes were there! Kolsen had a great time and finished 2nd for his team.

The buses at Milaca went on for a mile on both sides of the highway.
All that black in the middle of the road...those are people walking to the meet. It was crazy!

Karolyn enjoyed running cross country again this year and finished strong at the Perham meet. She's wearing a white shirt in the middle of this picture.

Nana Kristi and Papa Tom made it up to watch the kids run!

Kolsen's race at the start. His team is towards the right side of the picture.

I'm already looking forward to next year!

Sewing

This girl LOVES to sew. Anytime I have my sewing machine on, this girl is glued to my side. She recently decided she wanted a notebook just like her sister had. She picked out the fabric, I helped her with the cutting and reading the instructions and she did all the sewing. It turned out great and gave me a chance to spend some quality time with one of my favorite girls in the world!

Amazing Lunar Eclipse

We had a beautiful, clear sky to watch the eclipse from our front yard.

Running, running and more running

Karolyn ran as a part of the 4th-6th grade runners during two different meets this year. She loved it this year and especially loved having her special friend with her.

Fall Colors at Maplewood State Park

We all managed to make it up the hill!

The kids loved finding the geocache.

The water was cold, but the kids enjoyed throwing sticks and rocks in and watching the water ripple.

We were able to enjoy the fall colors with my parents during their trip up to visit us. We had a beautiful fall day!
